Wedding Planner – Micamoca Berlin (Berlin)

In an attempt by art dealers to drum a up a local market to compete with London, Paris and Milan, Gallery Weekend Berlin limps forward into another edition with high hopes amidst a Berlin torn between it’s anti-market roots and the increasing dominance of commercial galleries, between general gentrification and preserving pockets of its Bohemian spirit. Straight out of Via Ventura in Milan, Mariano Pichler's Micamoca migrates to colonize another postindustrial area, filling it with contemporary art from Pichler’s own collection to try energize occupancy by artists and galleries in his recently purchased building.
