But, start where you want to start… For me, I started with the fun stuff… The gowns!! Weddings are so stressful, so for me, I didn’t want to be strapped for time and stress when I was shopping for gowns when it’s supposed to be fun!!

And start googling reception venues in your local area. Once you do so, most websites will have an online menu, so you can compare prices to others… But, if not, call them, or email them and have them send you any information you need.

I have been to weddings, but still didn’t know where to even begin, or how to make this all happen… But, I did what I just told you… The internet was my tool… And I started feeling more confident…

The 1st thing you syould do is pick an approximate date and figure out about how many guests. set an overall budget to work with. Then start looking for a venue. Be flexible.
You may find the perfect venue, but they are booked, so maybe pick the next date available. We did not set our date in stone until we were able to find a suitable venue to accomodate.

Theweddingchannel.com is also a free site to join and they have lots of vendors/venues listed for the area you choose. It will give you a starting point and ideas.
